Times of Turmoil
In these times of international turmoil, I believe the world is going down a figurative vortex, sucked in by another major war, perhaps World War III. We are seeing the alignment of Russia, Red China, North Korea, and Iran, a new axis of evil readying to attack Western civilization. There is no question that should this happen, skill and small arms will be one of the advantages that the United States has to offer. The rest of the world doesn’t have these abilities. It is because of the Second Amendment that we have these advantages.
Yet our Second Amendment is being attacked daily. The reason for this is because the Second Amendment stands in the way of the radical left, who are also tied with this new axis of evil. Their actions would destroy the freedoms of the United States and its citizens. I encourage all members to stand up for the Second Amendment everywhere you can. Presidential Election Campaign Spending
Anti-gun spending is already ramping up with the 2024 election. Michael Bloomberg’s Every Town is spending $45 million, and the Gifford campaign is kicking in another $15 million. Bloomberg also gave $20 million to anti-gun campaigns including the Harris-Walz campaign.
Is obvious that we’re going to get ‘outspent’ in this campaign, so that means everyone must work harder, must be sure to vote, and get all their friends to vote for the program candidates. Not good news, but it was expected.
LITIGATION UPDATES
Our attorneys are still preparing for the September 16th appeal for our “assault weapon” ban. The trial is about five weeks from now. We will keep you updated. If you would like to donate to us, please visit: https://isra.org/support-us/. Thank you for your support!
New Jersey Judge Finds Ban on AR-15 Unconstitutional
A Federal District Court from New Jersey struck down part of the state’s “assault firearms” ban while letting the ban on “large capacity” magazines (LCM) stand in 3 cases. All three cases challenged the New Jersey “assault firearms” law, claiming that the state’s regulatory scheme was unconstitutional under the Second and Fourteenth Amendments. The defendants also claim that the LCM Amendment (ban on magazines holding more than ten rounds) to the “assault firearms” law also violated Constitutionally protected rights.
Partial Judgment in Maryland Carry Law Challenge Won
A federal court in Maryland has handed a victory to the Second Amendment Foundation and its partners in a challenge to the state’s law restricting carry in certain locations, declaring three provisions in the statute to be unconstitutional. The case is known as Novotny v. Moore.
Chief U.S. District Judge George L. Russell III issued a separate order granting summary judgment enjoining the state from enforcing provisions in the law which restrict the carrying of firearms in: (1) locations selling alcohol for onsite consumption, (2) private buildings or property without the owner’s consent, and (3) within 1,000 feet of a public demonstration.

Because History Matters
August 8, 1942 – Six German Saboteurs Executed in Washington DC
Two of the saboteurs on July 15 were detected by a Coast Guardsman who came up on the regular patrol. They bribed the Coast Guard man, who immediately went to the FBI and started looking for the saboteurs. On July 22nd and 27th, six more saboteurs landed on US soil. The first two saboteurs went to the FBI and confessed. The FBI quickly caught up with the other six and they were executed. The first two were imprisoned but were released in 1948.
I know you guys at the FBI are probably reading this, so you might take a tip from what happened in 1942 and start looking around. Pay less attention to Americans who are attending their local school board meetings. Just a thought.

August 10, 1978 – Teenage Girls Burn to Death in Pinto
After their Ford Pinto is rammed from behind on an Indiana highway, three teenage girls were burned alive. The Pinto engineering flaw was that its gas tank was located behind the rear axle of the car, and rear end collisions could cause its tank to explode. It was further revealed that Ford knew about the problem and did nothing about it. The family who owned the Pinto that the girls died in, would not receive a recall notice until 1979.
