WASHINGTON, D.C. — NSSF®, The Firearm Industry Trade Association, is pleased to announce it has awarded the Illinois State Rifle Association Range its Five-Star rating for range excellence. The Five-Star rating is the highest in the NSSF Star Rating System, which evaluates how ranges succeed in the areas of management, shooting sports development, appearance and amenities.
The ISRA Range is open 7 days a week. Come at your leisure. Shooting hours are 8:00 AM to Sundown, year-round, for outdoor ranges. Indoor Air gun Range is open as scheduled on the Official ISRA Calendar.
The ISRA owns and maintains the premiere outdoor shooting range in the Kankakee Illinois area. The facility boasts some of the most active organized shooting activities in the country including the largest evening High Power Rifle League according to the sanctioning body, the NRA.
The range has been expanding continuously over the years and now has over 250 firing positions spread over 12 ranges. The climate-controlled indoor classroom facilities host educational events regularly. See upcoming classroom and range events on the Official ISRA Calendar.
Weekends sometimes have scheduled shooting activities or classes, please check the range schedule above. During the week there is often little or no activities on the ranges. If your work schedule allows, come visit us during the week. If not, come out on the weekend and enjoy, there is rarely more than one range with an organized activity in progress at a time.
Range membership is a premium with dues paid that are separate from required ISRA membership.
