The ISRA F Class League has broken league records halfway through the season. Come out on Wednesdays 8am-5pm F Class league or Friday F Class Benchrest league 8am-1pm through September to immerse yourself in all the excitement.
All you need is your favorite scoped centerfire varmint rifle or big game deer rifle. Any quality scope with 4-16X minimum magnification will be competitive. Sightron, Vortex, Weaver, and Athlon offer affordable scopes with repeatable 1/4 or 1/8 minute turrets. If you would like to try the sport the ISRA has two Savage Model 12 FTR match rifles in 223 rem caliber. Rifles are scoped with Sightron S3 8-32x56mm. We provide bipod, prone mat and rear bag. All you need is 3 boxes of factory brass cased 223rem ammo. If you only want to try a couple shots get behind one of the league competitor’s rifle. Bring along your kids, wife, or grandkids to try the sport. Be a mentor (Cool dad) for the next generation of safe responsible adults. When you join the league and shoot minimum of 4 matches, the F Class October banquet at Brickstone Brewery in Bourbonnais is free. We will help you hone your skills to become a better shooter, hunter, and reloader.
Bill Howell brought out his grandson, JW Seals. JW shot first and then got to witness grandpa shoot a perfect score with heavy mirage.
Tom Jurgens brought out his grandson, Luke Crater. Luke improved last year’s score. Tom also shot the second match showing Luke how to score in the heavy mirage. Tom and Luke shot ISRA Glock match on the weekend. Bond time over multiple disciplines.

His high score is 400-40X through 11 different weather, wind, and mirage conditions. Fantastic shooting Larry. Larry shoots a 6bra in f class and 30br in benchrest league.
There are 23 high master shooters in the league. You must have a 98% scoring average for 120 shots to attain this classification. The league had 12 perfect scores in May, 14 perfect scores in June, and 18 perfect scores in July. July 24th had 5 perfect scores. Perfect time to peak before the US F Class Midrange Nationals in Lodi Wisconsin August 10th-13th. Larry Lawless will captain the ‘Illinois Old Dogs’ ISRA team from Bonfield. Clyde Taylor will be the Wind coach. Shooting team members are Mike Symmers, Bill Sears, Jerry Rowe, and Steve Zagrodnik.

As Joe Brown would say ‘May all your bad shots be Tens’. Good luck to both ISRA teams, all F Class competitors and State teams. Shooting sports refine techniques and hardware pushing scoring capabilities every year. Mental sharpness and visual acuity of conditions will determine the champion.
