This is a SCSA sanctioned level 1 match with 8 steel challenge stages. USPSA membership is not required to shoot but is required for SCSA classification. SCSA rules will apply. More details, competition rules, and stage configuration are available at SCSA.org.
Any safe pistol or rimfire or PCC rifle in good condition from .22-.45 may be used (no magnum allowed ). Pistol caliber ammo only. Center fire pistols are shot from a holster located at the side or forward of the hip. No inside the waist, shoulder, ankle, or small of the back holsters allowed. Rimfire pistol and rifle as well as PCC are shot from low ready. If new to steel challenge or not trained to draw from the holster, you may fire a center fire from low ready to learn about Steel Challenge but scores will not be reported.
Mandatory equipment. Eye protection and hearing protection are mandatory for all shooters and spectators. Holsters for center fire pistol and revolvers. Chamber flag and gun bag for pistol and rifles or chamber flags and a cart to secure pistol and rifle.
