Defending against criminal attack must be lawful and justifiable. Knowing when and how to react to violent threats is essential to those who have made the decision to be armed. Lessons learned from actual incidents will be considered.
This 4 hour class includes a review of segments of Illinois criminal law under 720 ILCS Article 7, the Firearm Concealed Carry Act (430 ILCS 66), case studies, and illustrates a pathway to making informed decisions in high stress, self-defense situations.
Cost: $50 members and $75 for non-members (bring your spouse or significant other for free!!)

Jeff Chudwin is a career law enforcement officer and retired as the Chief of Police for the village of Olympia Fields, IL. A graduate of DePaul University Law School, Jeff served as an Assistant States Attorney for both Will and Cook Counties, IL where he reviewed and prosecuted numerous crimes against the public, including citizen’s use of force in self-defense. As an attorney, he has represent3ed both citizens and police officers involved in high level use of force incidents. As a state certified instructor, he has presented firearms and self-defense / use of force classes to both law enforcement officers and private citizens for over 40 years.
