DESCRIPTION:This is an intensive full three-day (24 hours total) course that teaches candidates: \n  modern adult learning/teaching theory; \n  preparation\, delivery\, and documentation of training; \n  development of training aids\, including power points and others; \n  coaching methodologies\, diagnosing and correcting shooters’     \n  errors; \n  modern\, effective gun-handling techniques\, designed to work   \n  under stress; \n  proper handling/operation of a variety of handgun types; and \n  effective\, efficient combat marksmanship techniques. \nThe course time is divided about equally between classroom sessions and range firing\, and each student will fire approximately 850 rounds of ammunition. Students will act as coaches for other students\, and each will be coached extensively in turn. Students also receive a 250 page training manual\, which is a valuable information and reference resource. To graduate from this course\, students must pass a shooting qualification and pass a written examination. \nThis course satisfies the training requirements for the Oklahoma CLEET regulations to become an OK SDA Instructor; for a state firearms instructor license in South Carolina by SLED; for 24 hours of continuing education credit in South Carolina by SCCJA; for 24 hours training credit by Georgia POST ; for handgun instructor license from Tennessee Dept of Safety; is accepted by the Arkansas State Police for licensing as a state instructor; and it is accepted for 24 hours of in-service LE training in Florida and for signing off on Florida CWL applicants. SUMMARY:RangeMaster Three-Day Firearms Instructor Development & Certification Course - Range 11 and Classroom - 8:00-5:00
DESCRIPTION:This is an intensive full three-day (24 hours total) course that teaches candidates: \n  modern adult learning/teaching theory; \n  preparation\, delivery\, and documentation of training; \n  development of training aids\, including power points and others; \n  coaching methodologies\, diagnosing and correcting shooters’     \n  errors; \n  modern\, effective gun-handling techniques\, designed to work   \n  under stress; \n  proper handling/operation of a variety of handgun types; and \n  effective\, efficient combat marksmanship techniques. \nThe course time is divided about equally between classroom sessions and range firing\, and each student will fire approximately 850 rounds of ammunition. Students will act as coaches for other students\, and each will be coached extensively in turn. Students also receive a 250 page training manual\, which is a valuable information and reference resource. To graduate from this course\, students must pass a shooting qualification and pass a written examination. \nThis course satisfies the training requirements for the Oklahoma CLEET regulations to become an OK SDA Instructor; for a state firearms instructor license in South Carolina by SLED; for 24 hours of continuing education credit in South Carolina by SCCJA; for 24 hours training credit by Georgia POST ; for handgun instructor license from Tennessee Dept of Safety; is accepted by the Arkansas State Police for licensing as a state instructor; and it is accepted for 24 hours of in-service LE training in Florida and for signing off on Florida CWL applicants. Also\, the NRA Law Enforcement Division accepts this course for 40 hours of continuing education credits for NRA LE firearms instructor renewals. \nFor this course\, students will need: \n A serviceable sidearm\, revolver or semiauto\, of at least .38 Special or 9X19mm caliber (.38 Special\, 9mm\, .357 SIG\, .40 S&W\, .45 Auto); \n A serviceable uniform duty or concealed carry holster\, worn on the belt\, of leather or kydex construction\, with a covered trigger guard; \n At least three magazines or speedloaders (more is better); \n 850 rounds of ammunition for the sidearm \nFor further information or answers to questions\, please contact \nTom Givens\, rangemaster.tom@gmail.com  \nClick here to register.

SUMMARY:Massad Ayoob's MAG-40 Course - World Shooting and Recreational Complex - 8:30-7:00
DESCRIPTION:This is an intense\, four-day\, 40-hour immersion course in the “rules of engagement” for armed law-abiding private citizens.  The course emphasizes legal issues\, tactical issues\, and aftermath management. Topics will include interacting with suspects\, witnesses\, responding police officers\, threat recognition and mind-set\, and the management of the social and psychological aftermath of having to use lethal force in defense of self or others.  Also covered is preparing beforehand for legal repercussions and minimizing your exposure to them. Situations in the home\, at the place of business\, or “on the street” will all be covered.  Range work will include instruction in the use of the defensive handgun under extreme stress. Drawing from concealment\, two-handed stances\, shooting from cover\, one-handed stances with either hand\, speed reloading\, and more are taught with an overall emphasis on fast\, accurate shot placement. The course will culminate with a written examination covering the classroom topics and a police-style handgun qualification course.  500 rounds.  Cost: $1000.  No prerequisite required.
