This may sound a little redounded to regular readers of my articles, but I can’t
help but be more concerned than ever. About what you ask? I can’t think of a
time more intrusive on our 2nd Amendment rights and at the same time a glimmer
of hope in one area. The concern is in the pit of the stomach of every gun
owner. I have gun owners come up to me and say they have never been more afraid
of a President and or his cabinet than right now!
Believe me I feel their pain. Not even two months in office and this
administration has already started an attack on your rights through the so
called “Assault” (not true) weapons ban. The Liberal news media will start
showing videos of fully automatic weapons on the news, to deceive people into
thinking this is what that is all about!
People who don’t know any better will see this film and say, “No one needs to
own fully automatic weapons”! They of course, will never be told the truth by
the news stations or the administration in Washington, that these are not
fully automatic weapons, but the semi-automatics people use in hunting,
target practice, home defense, trap shooting etc. Instead they will let the lie
prevail, so the average Joe never knows the truth till it is too late.
It is beyond me how the American people just stand by and believe that the
banning of guns will stop any type of crime! We have banned heroin, marijuana,
cocaine and even have laws saying felons are not allowed to possess firearms.
Yet all these entities are rampant all over the United States. Those who trade
liberty
(2nd Amendment) for security have neither.
Give up your gun and rely on 911 and believe me the police will show up in time
to draw the chalk lines! Every red blooded American should be fighting to keep
the 2nd Amendment intact as our Founding Fathers gave it to us. The only thing
that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Please get that
through you head and never forget it!
The glimmer of hope I see at the same time is possibly conceal carry moving
forward, now that we have the endorsement of the Illinois Sheriffs. But it’s
going to take every gun owner to get out of that damn closet your hiding in and
join the fight. That’s how it happened in the other states—they fought hard and
strong for what they wanted and they got it.
I’m talking to you gun owners who don’t belong to the ISRA and the NRA. Who else
is leading the battle for you –no one!! You gun owners that are not being vocal
and letting others do the talking for you.
When someone mentions to me that would I really want everyone carrying a gun,
here is how I respond, I ask them,” Would you rather be sitting in a restaurant
where 30 law abiding citizens have a gun or would you only like the guy who is
coming in to rob the place have one?”
Just imagine if those fighting gun owners were all like you! What if we never
seen them at IGOLD? What if they never called the legislators? What if they just
went to the range and preferred to keep quiet? What if they kept quiet at work,
when the subject came up, instead of defending it, because it is in the
Constitution? If you can’t stand up vocally for the Bill of Rights, you might as
well cash it in now, because your future looks pretty dim.
WHAT IF?
I can tell you the answer—you wouldn’t even have the gun you’re shooting trap
with. You wouldn’t have the pistol you’re breaking bullseyes with! Your deer
rifle would be melted steel. All you would have is your rubber dart gun to shoot
the bad guys on the TV screen! Enough is enough—get up and join now, get vocal,
fight and call and do what everyone else has been doing FOR YOU up until now!
Don’t be a couch potato! God knows we could use your help! It’s up to you, but I
hope I never have to hear you say, "You know, Don was right but it’s too late”!
