A landmark decision has been made by United States Supreme Court! About 84
percent, by the latest poll of Americans are rejoicing. I would say the same
number of people in the state of Illinois are doing the same. The 2nd Amendment
is the 2nd Amendment, just as our Founding fathers said it should be.
Now it’s time to say thank you. Who should this thanks be directed to? First of
all to Otis McDonald for whom the lawsuit bears his name forever in history.
Then we also need to thank the other three plaintiffs that joined him in the
lawsuit, Adam Orlov, Colleen Lawson and David Lawson. We also really need to
thank the two corporate plaintiffs Second Amendment Foundation and the Illinois
State Rifle Association for putting up the funds and the lawyer that helped us
win this case.
The members of these organizations need to be recognized and appreciated,
because without their support and financial help this lawsuit would never have
been possible! I believe it’s time for all the gun owners in Illinois and the
people that agree with this ruling to now jump in and join the
Illinois State Rifle Association. You don’t have to be a gun owner to
believe in the 2nd Amendment!
We have over a million gun owners in Illinois. We also have many people that are
not gun owners, but believe in the right of the 2nd Amendment. There will be
future lawsuits to remove all the unreasonable restrictions that Mayor Daley and
others will pass, just to make it more difficult for law abiding gun owners to
exercise their right. If we had those million gun owners and all the others who
believe in this decision to become members, the finances would be there and the
support would be overwhelming for our side!
Folks if you want change for the better in this state as far as our firearm
rights, then it’s time to join the fight. Your yearly dues alone would be a
major help! We join unions to fight for our wages and working conditions. Isn’t
it time to give our support to the people fighting for you and me? We can’t go
to Springfield and be there for the legislative sessions or spend the day
talking to our legislators, but the ISRA can.
Don’t sit on the sidelines! Get in on the fight and support these efforts by the
ISRA to protect your right! The cool breeze of success is blowing in our
direction. It’s time for you to bask in it and be part of the contributing
success we need to go forward and get conceal carry in this state.
If we get the million members and three fourths of them join us at IGOLD, then
there will be 750,000 people in Springfield next March. Please call now and join
