There are a lot of people that at this
time of the year that don’t know what to get for someone
close to them. May I suggest a unique gift for someone?
If there are shooters and hunters that are friends of
yours, a gift membership to the ISRA may be just the
different gift you have been looking for. Maybe this
friend has mentioned legislation that was being
considered that he or she was not aware of during the
year. Maybe they have said they wish they could do more
to fight for their 2nd Amendment rights. The Illinois
State Rifle Association is the one that truly has their
firearm rights foremost in mind. They receive a copy
quarterly of The Illinois Shooter paper. They
also can sign up for email alerts, so that the being in
the dark about what’s happening will be a thing of the
past!
The ISRA has had rallies in downtown Chicago that maybe
your friends never knew about. They also have had
thousands of people in Springfield marching to the State
capital. Do your friends know about IGOLD?
Do they know about ISRA's history-making lawsuit against
Chicago's handgun ban, McDonald v Chicago? Or that
the United State Supreme Court is going to hear this
case in March?
Now is the time to join and get in the trenches with the
other people across the state that also belong! Don’t
let them be on the sideline any longer. We want them on
the field with us!
If we to advance such issues as concealed carry and
elimination of the FOID card, our membership must grow.
We are making great strides but we must keep growing!
There is a certain benefit to joining now too!
Right now if you apply for a membership before January
12th there are 60 prizes being given away. The person
who joins and the recruiter each get entered in the
drawing for these prizes. First prize is a Henry Golden
Boy rifle. The serial numbers on these two rifles are
ISRA 0009 & ISRA 0010.
You see, the anti-gun people love to see people not
join. There is no in between on this issue. If you don’t
belong, they just count you as one of them. So c’mon,

side.
